Four Plots
In the initial beginning the program will display 4 graphic plots showing the behaviour of series.
These plots will help you in identifying outliers, presence of trend, cycles,
some idea about required transformations.
- Series Plot The series will be plotted against
its observation numbers as they appear. Helps you in identifying the
Outliers, trend, required transformations.
- Plot of Xt vs. Xt-1 The
series is plotted against its lagged series. It helps you in
identifying the outliers, trend and presence of cycles in the series.
- Frequency Plot Will display the frequency histogram
with the normal curve based on the mean and std. deviation super imposed
over it. Helping you to identify where the distribution is normal or
not and whether it is skewed to left or right.
- Half Normal Plot A half normal plot is displayed,
where the series is plotted against its normal percentiles. If the
series is following normal distribution then the observations will fall on a
straight line.
If you have selected multiple variables from the select icon in tool bar,
then the program will display the required graphics in the below mentioned
format, to help you study several variables, simultaneously.
